Walkman isn’t showing my steps
Walkman reads your step count from Apple Health, so it needs permission to do that. Open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps & Services → Walkman, and make sure Steps, Distance and Active Energy are turned on. If they are and you still see zero, check Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness — with Fitness Tracking off, the iPhone records no steps for any app.
If permissions look right and the count is still wrong, check that your iPhone is actually recording steps in the Health app itself — Walkman only ever shows what Health already knows.
My leaderboard looks empty
The leaderboard is worldwide and only shows real people who walked that day. Friends’ steps appear through the day as their phones sync — if someone is missing, their phone probably hasn’t allowed Walkman to read steps yet.
My weekly numbers look wrong
Walkman syncs a rolling seven-day window in the background. If you’ve just installed it, or the phone has been offline, open the app and give it a moment to catch up before the week fills in.
Deleting your account
Open Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers. It does not touch anything stored in Apple Health on your device.
Privacy
Walkman only ever reads from Apple Health — it never writes to it, and it never asks where you are: location isn’t part of the app. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
